Dental Implants - Like Having Your Teeth Back

With a dental implant, a small titanium post is inserted beneath your gum where it fuses to the bone and acts like the root of a tooth.  An artificial tooth (expertly crafted in a dental laboratory to match your exact specifications) is then mounted on the post.

The result is a durable, esthetic and permanent new tooth.

If that sounds too stressful, you owe it to yourself to contact  Dr. Hudimac today.  Our approach to gentle dentistry and our commitment to making you comfortable, relaxed, and confident about your dental care applies to dental implants too.

Mini Dental Implants

I've had some major dental work done by Dr. Hudimac, including 8 mini implants and I am extremely satisfied with the whole process from the initial meeting to the final result.

Today in cases of severe bone loss where a patient prefers no bone grafting, some cases can be done using small (less than 2.5 millimeter) diameter implants.  These can be placed during regular office visits, are minimally invasive, and replacement teeth can be mounted more quickly.

Implants can be used to support a single tooth, multiple teeth, dentures, or even a full set of crowns.

  • There’s no age limit for this technique and we have had patients in their 80s opt for dental implants.
  • The titanium posts are not rejected by the body and work well even with patients dealing with immune disorders like Lupus and Fibromyalgia.

Traditional Dental Implants

Larger dental implants of 3 to 6 millimeters require surgery and a period of healing over several months before replacement teeth can be placed but offer superior strength and longevity when compared to the mini implant.

Are Dental Implants Right for me?

Whether or not dental implants will work for you depends on your general health and the health of your gums and jaw bones.  Patients with periodontal disease, compromised immune systems, or certain dental disorders may not be good candidates.  The cost of dental implants is also higher than most alternatives, but the value in terms of natural-looking, long-lasting tooth replacement is undeniable.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Scott A. Hudimac, DDS today.  We can set an appointment where we will evaluate you for dental implants, as well as provide you with a range of options for meeting your dental care goals.

At the office of Scott A, Hudimac, DDS, customer service is always a priority.  You’ll never feel like a nameless prescription.  It’s simple: we want your dental work to look good, feel good, and last a long time.
