General Dental Care

General Dental Care involves services that focus on the health, care, and good function of your teeth, gums, and supporting structures.

Often, a toothache, broken tooth, missing filling, or some other painful malady brings patients in for general dental care. At the office of Scott A. Hudimac, DDS, you receive gentle dental care with five star service. Emergency appointments are available.

To avoid unexpected dental problems, we recommend regular dental visits every six months to prevent little problems from becoming big ones. (And don’t worry, we have patients who never thought they’d “like” coming to the dentist, but who look forward to their visits now.)

Dental Checkups and Cleanings are important, and with a little tender loving care can be as non-stressful as trip to the barber or an hour in the salon. Don’t believe us? Contact Scott A. Hudimac, DDS today for your first appointment.

White Fillings and Sealants

At the office of Scott A. Hudimac, DDS, we use white fillings exclusively. We believe the new composite resins are simply superior to silver amalgam fillings, and they are durable and long lasting. White fillings also give a much more natural looking, esthetic result which our patients love.

White fillings don’t expand like silver fillings, which often causes the tooth to crack. While they cost a bit more than traditional silver fillings, in the long run white fillings are better for your teeth and your smile.

Sealants are clear or white plastic placed in the grooves of the back teeth to protect them from bacteria and decay. Sealants help prevent enamel breakdown and improve the life of your teeth.

Sensitive Teeth

If you teeth are sensitive, or even hurt when exposed to cold air, hot or cold food, beverages, and sweets, you may have sensitive teeth.

Sensitive teeth happen when the layer called dentin becomes exposed through wear, broken enamel, or even “over-aggressive” brushing. It’s more than an annoyance. Over time it can lead to decay, infection, and even tooth loss. Sensitive teeth should be considered an early warning sign, one where good treatment need not be that stressful or expensive. If you think you have sensitive teeth, please Contact Scott A. Hudimac, DDS today for your appointment.

Dentures

Dentures can be an affordable and satisfactory way of replacing missing teeth. Missing teeth affect more than your smile and can set off a chain reaction of shifting teeth and periodontal disease. With dentures, you’ll chew better, look better, and have a healthier jaw joint. We offer:

  • Upper Partial Dentures
  • Lower Partial Dentures
  • Complete (Full) Dentures
  • Immediate Dentures*

*(When periodontal disease and decay result in the removal of many teeth and the insertion of a denture replacement all in the same day.)

Are dentures right for you? Scott A. Hudimac, DDS will provide you with the information you need to make the right decision, including how to care for your dentures and maintain good dental health.
